This officially marks the end of ULP 2011.Just like after UIP, i've post event/program sydrome again.
Don't feel like doing anything and escaping from things by sleeping all day.
Miss them and miss the whole process.
No matter how much i might complain during the whole process about not having enough time and etc, i sure did enjoy the whole journey with many new experiences and also the interaction with the trainees.
New experiences such as being the FnB 2IC, working with my fellow batchmate, Xin Feng under Elijah Sir. I finally realised how important a FnB IC is.
Also, it was my first time having a co-mentor. Thanks Wei Yang Sir for all the little gestures which motivated me along the way especially during Camp day 1 when i was already demotivated, losing hope and strength. Without you, i don't know whether i could manage Alpha 2 alone. We sure did well by working together, covering up each other flaws and supporting each other along the way.

Alpha platoon is really unique in its own way cause we have friendly and nice mentors and mentees. We care for one another in our own unique way. We might not be as expressive as other platton but i believe we are the most loving platoon in ULP 2011.
It was the last day, their Passing Out Parade. I have lots of things to say to my mentees but i just don't know how to express myself. I hope that my message will get to them through my cards that i've given them. I guess i can express myself better only by writing down instead of talking.
Another achievement made. I managed to chiong 14 cards out for my mentees, Alpha trainers and Alpha Chief Mentor and Assistant Chief Mentor in one night! Would like to do more for Elijah Sir, Xin Feng, Chief Trainer, Assistant Chief Trainers, PWO and Assistant PWO. But of course, i did not have the capability/time to do for so many people. Just would like to sincerely thank them here for everything that they have taught me and the advices that they have given me. Thay are all very nice and approachable people.
With that, i really do not have any regrets joining ULP. Truthfully speaking, initially i was in a dilemma whether to take up the role of a mentor in ULP. I kept thinking and contemplating. After i've decided to, i did think about giving up when Chingyee gave up. You know, initially there were only the 4 of us (VIP 11/10) then one of us left so left 3. It demotivated us in a way. It was especially so when our decisions were actually swaying before that. Yup! But thanks for the other 2 (Boon Ping and Xin Feng) for staying on. If not, i think i would not stay on and hang on too.
I felt sad that i couldn't take a photo with my UIP mentees yesterday. I'm so proud of them you know! Out of the 3 UIP mentees who joined ULP, 2 of them managed to be in the top 10% and they got their deserving lanyards. The important thing is not the lanyard but is their tremendous improvement. I believe that all 5 of them have improved a lot since UIP till now after takinjg over their unit as unit leaders. Initially in UIP, they were just average but now they are really outstanding in my eyes. GOOD JOB to my sons and daughters! You made your mummy proud! Would i be able to see any of you getting the Director's Award next year?
I hope that i would be there to see all your improvement and achievements. Cause by doing so, i would also feel a sense of achievement too.

Thanks ex-ncos for staying back and waiting for us to go for a dinner yesterday!
Thanks for the letters and gifts from my mentees and also the unexpected one from another trainee. I was actually very touched to see his appraisal for me. I didn't know that i've left an impact in him by my small gestures. Although i was not his mentor in UIP, neither ULP but i guess we expect to see each other in the various events so that we have the sense of familiarity. Also after viewing the touching VI video done by Hadi Sir and group what should i do??
To stay on or move on?
Again, there are many opportunities given to me. What should i do? Be firm in my decision or just follow my feelings? It's a tough choice when i'm now so attached to the people, the cadets.
